New gasket
In the attached table, the order of the gaskets is specified.
A gasket is installed in the first plate after the clamping plate is fixed and the gasket groove in the intermediate partition plate.
The gasket of the first plate after fixing the clamping plate is cut by a regular gasket. Therefore, before removing the old gasket, record the cutting amount (see Figure 9).
No need for adhesive gaskets and adhesive gaskets
Some plate heat exchangers are equipped with "snap-on" gaskets that do not require glue. In this heat exchanger, the gasket does not require the use of glue. However, after fixing the clamping plate, the first plate and the spacer on the intermediate spacer need to be bonded as shown in Fig. 9.
Type of glue
PLIOBOND25/SCOTCHGRIP847 are all nitrile rubber glue (25% solid material).
Most of the glue is synthetic, so the old gasket can fall off when heated by boiling water.
It is very important to clean and degrease new gaskets and gasket tanks with acetone. It is very important to clean each time before using the glue.

It is very dangerous to leave liquid on the heat exchanger plates!

After using a degreaser, a wipe to clean the gasket and the gasket groove, the bonding can be performed. The bonded area must be very clean. Apply a thin layer of glue to the bonding area of the gasket and place the gasket in a clean and dry place to dry the gasket.
A thin layer of glue is also applied to the gasket groove, and the gasket is pressed into the groove. The bonding starts from one end of the plate and then continues to the other end.
Bonding on a fixed platform is most convenient, and when the gasket is placed in the gasket groove on the panel, it is bonded together.
After the bonding process is completed, the sheet can be hung to the frame and the plate heat exchanger is clamped. See the introduction - "Disassembly and Assembly." If the glue is not dried very quickly, it can be heated with water, provided that there is no pressure in the water.
Drying time:
80-100 ° C (194-212 ° F), about 2 hours;
40-50 ° C (104 ° F), about 24 hours;
    At room temperature, about 48 hours.
If the plate heat exchanger cannot be heated, it must be placed as warm as possible so that the water in the glue evaporates from the plate heat exchanger for attachment or disassembly.
